The Institute of Midwifery Science in Cologne stands for modern, evidence-based teaching and the further development of midwifery science.

The dual Bachelor's degree program Midwifery Science B.Sc. closely combines scientific content with extensive practical experience and prepares students specifically for their professional career. The Master's degree course Advanced Midwifery Practice M.Sc. (AMP), which has existed since the winter semester 2025, deepens scientific and professional perspectives.

Our teaching combines theory, practice and research with the aim of strengthening evidence-based midwifery practice and sustainably improving the care of families.
